Through government-supported initiatives and trusted regional partnerships, eligible homeowners in the Taupō, South Waikato, Rotorua, and Ruapehu districts can now access insulation funding, up to 100% in many cases.
EECA Warmer Kiwi Homes Programme
The Warmer Kiwi Homes programme, led by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA), offers government-backed home insulation subsidies in New Zealand. For eligible owner-occupiers, EECA now provides between 50% – 90% insulation subsidies. In many situations, additional funding may be available to boost your insulation subsidies up to 100%.
If you qualify, this could mean completely free insulation installation in your ceiling and underfloor areas, improving comfort and reducing energy costs year-round.

Maru Energy Trust – Be Warm Be Healthy Programme
In partnership with the Maru Energy Trust, we’re also helping deliver the Be Warm Be Healthy Programme across the Ruapehu district. Designed to combat energy hardship in rural communities, this initiative provides free home insulation in the Lines Company Region for eligible households.
As a home owner-occupier seeking warmth in colder regions, this local scheme could cover 100% of your insulation cost. Easy Insulation handles both the assessment and installation process to ensure maximum impact and peace of mind.
Am I Eligible for an Insulation Subsidy?
You may qualify for EECA insulation subsidies or Maru Energy Trust insulation subsidies if:
You own and live in a home built before 2008.

Your home doesn't have ceiling and underfloor insulation. (If you had an insulation subsidy for a previous house, no worries, you can apply for an insulation subsidy at your current home.)
