Effective 5th August 2025, an additional 300,000 homes nationwide have become eligible for insulation funding under the Warmer Kiwi Homes programme—bringing affordable warmth within reach for more Kiwi families.

EECA WARMER KIWI HOMES
Easy Insulation actively participates in the EECA Warmer Kiwi Homes Insulation grant, a government initiative aimed at making homes warmer, healthier, and more energy-efficient. Through this program, eligible homeowners in the Taupo, South Waikato, Rotorua Lakes, and Ruapehu districts can receive subsidies for insulation installations, ensuring that their homes meet the recommended standards for energy efficiency. Easy Insulation’s involvement in this program signifies its commitment to supporting community members in creating comfortable and sustainable living spaces.
1. 90% Insulation Funding
If you live in Deprivation Zones 9 or 10, or if you hold a Community Services Card
2. 80% Insulation Funding
If you live in Deprivation Zone 8
3. 50% Insulation Funding
If you live in Deprivation Zones 5, 6, or 7
4. In many cases, additional funding may be available to increase your total insulation funding even further.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
You own and live in a home built before 2008;
You (the owner) have a Community Services Card or live in an area identified as low-income (ring Easy Insulation on 0800 327 946 to check your address)
Your home doesn't have ceiling and underfloor insulation. (If you had an insulation grant for a previous house, no worries, you can apply for a grant at your current home.)
Home exists within Census Deprivation Zone 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10

OBJECTIVES
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) has been on a quest to insulate and heat New Zealand homes for well over a decade.
With years of funding available for landlords, and rental home insulation and heating standards now in place, EECA has turned its attention back to homeowner-occupiers who need it the most.
EECA has paired up with Easy Insulation to offer 50% – 90% funding for eligible homeowner occupiers who live anywhere in Easy Insulation’s large service area across the Ruapehu, Taupo, Rotorua, and South Waikato District Council areas. In many cases, additional funding may be available to boost your funding up to 100%.

How to get 50 – 100% insulation funding.*

Step 1:
Assessment
We’ll confirm whether or not your home is eligible for funding; and
We’ll schedule a FREE home assessment; and
We’ll provide a quote (which might be for $0.00).
Step 2:
Scheduling installation
Once the quote is accepted, we’ll indicate the likely wait time.
We’ll schedule installation on a day which suits you; and
We’ll install the insulation (usually only takes 1 day).
Step 3:
Processing
We process the Warmer Kiwi Homes grant for you (if applicable).
