We’re excited to update you on the latest from the EECA Warmer Kiwi Homes Programme, as of 5 August 2025. This initiative is still helping homeowners like you make their homes warmer, healthier, and more energy-efficient — and Easy Insulation is here to guide you every step of the way.

More Homes Eligible For Insulation Funding

For the first time, EECA has made Deprivation Zones 5 and 6 eligible for funding. This sees an additional 300,000 owner-occupied homes eligible for funding within NZ. That's a whopping 25% of all owner-occupied homes in NZ not previously eligible.
Deprivation Zones 7, 8, 9, and 10 are all still eligible for funding. Click here to figure out which Dep Zone your home exists in.

This is an unprecedented change within the Warmer Kiwi Homes programme, and could mean your home now falls into a funding eligibility category.

Eligible Homes Now Receive Higher Heat Pump Funding

Heat pump funding for eligible homes increases from 80% to 90%

(capped at $3450 incl GST)

The good news continues for homeowners eligible for heat pump subsidies. For home-owner occupiers based in Deprivation Zones 9 and 10, funding has just been increased from 80% to 90%, capped at $3450 including GST.
